Colorful flowers blooming in each season are a comfort to your heart. Nagoya's tourist spots are categorized by seasons and varieties of flowers.

Plum blossoms (Mid-February to March)

  • Nagoya Agricultural Center (700 weeping plum trees)
    February to March of every year : Weeping plum tree festival
    Access: Take the city bus from Hirabari Subway Sta., get off at Araike bus stop, and walk 7 min.

Cherry blossoms (late March to early April)

Parks

  • Nagoya Castle (cherry blossom festival with illumination at night: 2,000 trees, including Yoshino, Satozakura and weeping cherry trees)
    Access: Shiyakusho Subway Sta.
  • Tsuruma Park (about 1,200 trees)
    Access: Tsurumai Sta., Subway and JR Chuo Line
  • Meijo Park (800 trees)
    Access: 2 min. from Meijo Koen Subway Sta.
  • National treasure Inuyama castle (400 trees)
    Access: 15 min. from Inuyama station on the Meitetsu line
  • Nagono Shrine (120 trees)
    Access: 3 min. from Sotoboricho-dori Hommachi bus stop

  • Shonai Ryokuchi Park (about 1,000 trees make up a beautiful tunnel of cherry blossoms)
    Access: Subway Shonai Ryokuchi Koen Subway Sta.
  • Heiwa Park (3,400 trees, including Satozakura and double-flowering cherry trees all over the park—especially in Sakura no Sono and around Heiwa-do.)
    Access: Take the city bus from Hoshigaoka Subway Sta. and get off at Heiwa Koen bus stop
  • Odaka Ryokuchi Park (1,000 trees)
    Access: 15 min. from JR Odaka Sta. or Meitetsu Sakyoyama Sta.
  • Okazaki castle (1,000 trees)
    Access: 15 min from Higashi Okazaki station on the Meitetsu line

  • Gojo River in Iwakura city (1,400trees)
    Access: 5 min. from Iwakura station on the Meitetsu line
  • Yamazaki River, chosen as “Top 100 Cherry Tree Spot” with about 620 trees from Ishikawa Bridge to Aratama Bridge (about 2.5 km) and night-time illumination
    Access: 10 min. from Aratama-bashi Subway Sta.
  • Araizeki embankment (1.5 km, 540 trees)
    Access: Take the city bus from Shonai Ryokuchi Koen Subway Sta., get off at Hebiike Jinja-mae bus stop, and walk 10 min.
  • Kanare River Ryokudo (Kanaregawa embankment, 500 trees from Enju Bridge to Shinyashiki Bridge, about 2 km)
    Access: Take the city bus from Issha Subway Sta. and get off at Yokoi-cho bus stop
  • Fujigaoka Area (about 400 trees all around Fujigaoka Sta.)
    Access: Fujigaoka Subway Sta.
