Lantern Event at the Okehazama Historical Battlefield Festival

A memorial ceremony for the Battle of Okehazama, guided tours of the ruins, and parades with armored warriors, as well as performances with taiko drums and the Naruko-odori dance are held. A number of local mascots from different areas including Okewanko also come together here.
After sunset, in a mourning of those who died from both sides of the battle, 3,500 lanterns are lit around Oike Pond.

Nagoya Castle Spring Festival

Nagoya castle is one of the most popular place to enjoy Sakura (Cherry Blossom) flowers in Nagoya.
There are over 1,000 sakura trees in many varieties, during the full bloom period there is special lighting available to enjoy the sakura flowers in the evening.
Many events are scheduled to be held on weekend such as The Koto (Traditional Japanese stringed instruments) concert, Japanese Taiko drum performance and Japanese tea ceremony.

Cherry blossom viewing at Nagoya Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens

Flower Festival at Tsuruma Park

750 cherry trees bloom at the park, many local enjoy Hanami (flower viewing) here during the full bloom season.

Special flower lighting is available from late March to early April.(6 PM-9:30 PM)

Limited time Beer Garden  opens from late March to early April. (5 PM - 9:30 PM on weekday, 12 PM - 9:30 PM on weekends. Close on rainy days)

After Cherry tree blooming, the rose gardens in May and the blue flag gardens in late May to June are also very beautiful.

Golden Week Vacation Night Aquarium

The aquarium hours are lengthened during the "Night Aquarium" period. The admission fee becomes 20% lower than usual after 5:00 PM, making it an incredible bargain. Marathon Festival Nagoya/Aichi
