Weeping Plum Tree Festival

View the flowers of approximately 700 trees, both red and white plum trees, as they come into bloom. Enjoy a petting zoo with small animals, street performances (*cancelled on rainy days), an open-air market, and bonsai display during the event period. *Parking during the event period is 500 yen.

Kacchin-Dama Festival

Every year, candy called "kacchin-dama" is sold on this day only, and is said to bring divine help with safe birth, growth, protection from evil, etc. There are over 100 stands on the premises.

Special Exhibition: The Doll Festival of the Owari Tokugawa Family

Tolling of Temple Bells

Location: Temples everywhere
In Japan, the tolling of bells on New Year's Eve is done in what is called Joya no Kane. The bells are struck 108 times. It is said that within people dwell 108 worldly temptations (responsible for deceiving people's hearts and causing suffering in them), and the bells are run to expel those temptations. There are many temples where you yourself can strike the bell.

A mysterious skating rink you can slide around on with skates even though it's not ice!

Tolling of Temple Bells

In Japan, the tolling of bells on New Year's Eve is done in what is called Joya no Kane. The bells are struck 108 times. It is said that within people dwell 108 worldly temptations (responsible for deceiving people's hearts and causing suffering in them), and the bells are run to expel those temptations. There are many temples where you yourself can strike the bell.

Featuring all the firefighting equipment for ground, sea, and air, such as fire engines, fire boats, firefighting helicopters, and more. A mysterious skating rink you can slide around on with skates even though it's not ice!

Futaba Day at the Cultural Path Futaba Museum

The Cultural Path Futaba Museum, built in Japanese/Western-style, is the former residence of "first Japanese actress" Sadayakko Kawakami and "king of electricity" Momosuke Fukuzawa during the Taisho period (1912–1926). It was established as the base facility for the Cultural Path (spanning approx. 3 kilometers east to west from Nagoya Castle to Tokugawaen) in February 8, 2005.
The name of the facility and the date it was opened are similar each other's Japanese pronunciations, and so February 8 came to be known as "Futaba Day", with various events such as taishogoto musical performances.

Weeping Plum Tree Festival

View the flowers of approximately 700 trees, both red and white plum trees, as they come into bloom. Enjoy a petting zoo with small animals, street performances (*cancelled on rainy days), an open-air market, and bonsai display during the event period. *Parking during the event period is 500 yen.

Kacchin-Dama Festival

Every year, candy called "kacchin-dama" is sold on this day only, and is said to bring divine help with safe birth, growth, protection from evil, etc. There are over 100 stands on the premises.

เทศกาลเปลือยกาย / Konomiya Hadaka (Naked) Festival

เทศกาลเปลือยกายนี้ได้ถูกเฉลิมฉลองขึ้นมาในสมัยนารา  โดยผู้เข้าร่วมเทศกาลส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นผู้ชาย โดยแต่ละคนจะเปลือยกายและสวมผ้าคล้ายๆผ้าเตี่ยวจากนั้นแย่งชิงกันเพื่อที่จะสัมผัสผู้ชายที่บริสุทธิ์โดยหลายคนเชื่อว่าหากสัมผัสได้พรที่ขอก็จะเป็นจริง

เทศกาลคิเนะโคสะ / Kinekosa Festival

เทศกาล Kinekosa จะจัดขึ้นประจำปีเพื่อขอพรให้เทพ Yakuyoke ปกป้องตนจากปีศาจ, เทพ Shison hanei  เพื่อขอให้กระทำเรื่องต่างๆสำเร็จลุล่วงไปด้วยดี ,เทพ tenka taihei  เพื่อขอให้เกิดความสงบสุข และเทพ Gohoku Houjyou เพื่อการเก็บเกี่ยวผลิตที่ดี  โดยผู้เข้าร่วมที่เป็นผู้ชายจะแบกต้นไผ่และเดินลงไปในแม่น้ำshonai ที่อยู่ใกล้กับศาลเจ้า Hichishosha จากนั้นก็จะนำต้นไผ่ไปตั้งไว้กลางแม่น้ำและผู้เข้าร่วมเทศกาลก็จะปีนขึ้นไปบนต้นไผ่ หากต้นไผ่เอนเอียงหรือหักเพราะน้ำหนักของผู้ปืน ก็จะพยากรณ์ได้ว่าการเพาะปลูกพืชผลในปีนั้นๆเป็นเช่นไร

Special Exhibition: The Doll Festival of the Owari Tokugawa Family

The gathering and exhibition of the gorgeous Hina dolls and their accessories worthy of the Owari clan, head of the three high Tokugawa clans of the Edo era. Also see the overwhelming 7-meter-wide terraced display platform with Hina dolls from the Meiji Era to the Showa era.
