Special Exhibition“Inside Out: Exploring the World Behind Our Clothes”
Would you like to take a peek behind the scenes of clothing?
Clothing is supported by a wide range of science, technology, and history. In particular, Nagoya and the Aichi region have long been centers of fashion-related industries, including textile production, dyeing, and weaving.
Fashion is often associated with creativity and enjoyment. At the same time, however, the mass production and consumption of clothing can have a significant impact on the global environment.
This exhibition explores the often unseen side of clothing, revealing the science, history, technology, and environmental issues hidden behind the garments we wear every day.
We hope this exhibition will inspire visitors to think about their relationship with clothing and how we can continue to enjoy fashion in a more sustainable way.
