Hoshigaoka Terrace Winter Illumination
This year’s illumination theme is “Botanical Town: Windy Hill.”
As we “live on loan” together with the many ecosystems on this planet, are we truly living in a way that shows consideration for the Earth, and for the plants, animals, and insects with which we coexist? Have we become aware of the discomfort of a global environment polluted by the prioritization of human life, and of the lost spirit of coexistence and mutual prosperity?
Windy Hill depicts a hill where birds and insects—“wind users” that coexist with plants—live while helping plants grow by riding the wind. Visitors can enjoy the illumination of “Windy Hill,” a community garden where plants and living creatures gather. The miniature houses and stars displayed on the grand staircase were created by students of Sugiyama Jogakuen University.

Hoshigaoka Terrace
- A city aiming to offer customers their "special moments" - Hoshigaoka is a place where you can enjoy shopping, gourmet dining, and experience nature while having fun with everyone.
