Make sports freer, more fun, and something for everyone.
Mizuho Park is a park spread across a 24-hectare site, offering the attractions of sports, nature, and history.
It has been newly reborn under the concept of “LifeSports - Our Own Park” and “Making sports freer, more enjoyable, and for everyone.”
It expands the ways people can enjoy sports in daily life beyond just “watching” and “competing” to include “playing” and “refreshing,” encouraging both body and mind to move.
Within the park, a variety of facilities have been developed, including Paloma Mizuho Stadium, which can host international competitions; various plazas created with input from the local community; the Urban Sports Plaza, where visitors can experience trending sports; and Ooguruwa Plaza and the exhibition room “Ooguruwa Jomon Museum,” where visitors can experience the history of the Jomon period up close.
With the figure-eight promenade “MIZUHO-LOOP,” which seamlessly connects the park, strolling through the grounds has become even more enjoyable, and the park has evolved into a place where each visitor can discover their own unique pleasures.

Paloma Mizuho Stadium
Main uses:
Track and field in general (WA-certified course, Japan Association of Athletics Federations Class 1 certified), soccer, rugby, American football, etc.
Track: All-weather surface, 400 m × 9 lanes

Stands: Approximately 30,000 seats
Paloma Mizuho Rugby Field
Main uses: Rugby, soccer, American football, etc.
Field: Natural grass, 135 m × 80 m

Paloma Mizuho Arena

Main uses: Basketball (2 courts), table tennis, badminton, ball games in general, etc.
Seating: Approx. 1,100 people

Main uses: Gymnastics, basketball (1 court), table tennis, badminton, ball games in general, etc.

Park facilities
Ooguruwa Jomon Museum
In 2026, the Ooguruwa Shell Midden was also neatly improved and maintained.
The historic site has been turned into a grassy open space that anyone can use. In addition, the areas where shell midden deposits were confirmed underground are marked with rubber chips. There is also a wall along the slope surrounding the site called the “10,000-Year Wall,” where you can see drawings of pottery and stone tools, as well as three-dimensional models.
In addition, authentic materials discovered at the Omagariwa Shell Midden and the Omagariwa Site (owned by the Board of Education) are exhibited in a newly built guidance facility beside the Omagariwa Shell Midden, where they can be viewed up close.
South Park
As the gateway to Mizuho Park, this is the largest plaza in the park.
Preserving and enhancing the ways people enjoy the trees, including the metasequoias that have long been cherished as a symbol, we have newly installed inclusive playground equipment* and a play zone for small children. It has been designed as a plaza where visitors can be active and also relax at ease.
By improving the existing woodland into a bright, open space with good visibility, the plaza is now connected to the Yamazaki River and the walking paths, allowing visitors to enjoy the area seamlessly. A new lawn plaza of approximately 3,500 square meters, accessible to food trucks, has also been created, making it possible to host a wide variety of events.

East Park
Making use of the changes in elevation, this is a plaza where children can fully engage their bodies in adventurous play.
The popular swings have been renewed with an inclusive design, and the number of units has been increased so that everyone can enjoy them.
While preserving the tall trees that provide shade, the plaza has become an open, relaxing space with good visibility.
North Park
This is a relaxing plaza integrated with the Yamazaki River promenade.
A lawn plaza, reclining benches, and hammocks have been installed, creating a place of relaxation that is easy to stop by from the Yamazaki River promenade.
Cherry trees were planted together with local residents and professional athletes at a tree-planting event.
Newly developed park facilities
North Urban Sports Plaza
Developed on the site of the former Water Plaza on the south side of the baseball field. It was built at half-court size, and a fence was installed around the perimeter to prevent balls from flying out.
South Urban Sports Plaza
Developed on the north side of the rugby field. It is centered around beginner-level sections where visitors can casually try skateboarding.
