Historic Townscapes of Nakaotai

This town was built along the Iwakura Kaido highway, which bustled with life as vegetables were brought from Iwakura to the Fresh Produce Wholesale Market of Biwajima. Townhouses and storehouses remain to this day, and you can feel the history of the highway.
