Otakasaida rice planting festival
This event has ended.
The sacred rice field, located northwest of Hikami Aneko Shrine, an auxiliary shrine of Atsuta Shrine, was established in 1932, and the rice planting festival to pray for a good harvest began the following year. This year marks the 92nd festival.
A rice dance is performed to the accompaniment of rice songs sung by young girls (members of the Nagoya Agricultural Cooperative Odaka branch) and then the rice planting takes place.
