What is the Evangelion anime?
Evangelion was a TV anime series broadcast in 1995 which became a social phenomenon among youth, spawning movies, graphic novels, character merchandise, pachinko games, cosplay costumes, and more. Starting in 2007, the series was reborn through the four-part Rebuild of Evangelion films, 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone., 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance., 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo., and 3.0+1.0, strengthening its fan base. In the third installment released in November of 2012, 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo., a new storyline was introduced, making it a major hit as it drew in an audience of over 2.8 million viewers.
