In 1845, Zenbei Osakaya started a sake brewing business at the entrance of Zenkoji Kaido, now located in Yamada, Kita-ku, Nagoya. Furthermore, being one of the few sake breweries in Nagoya, we bear the expectations of the local community.
The name of the establishment, "Kintora," is derived from Nagoya Castle's renowned golden dolphin and the fact that Zenbei III was born in the year of the tiger. In May 1945, the storehouse was unfortunately destroyed by fire, coinciding with the destruction of Nagoya Castle. We deeply appreciate your continued patronage.
