Special Exhibition “Fujita Tsuguharu Paintings and Photographs”
I will decipher works by Tsuguharu Fujita using photographs as keywords. Fujita, who has owned a camera since he was young, left thousands of photographs throughout his life. In this exhibition, in addition to elucidating the process of painting production using photographs, Fujita's portrait photographs captured by domestic and international photographers will also be exhibited. Fujita himself was both a photographer and a subject. It follows the “trajectory of the eye,” which constantly goes back and forth between drawing and shooting, and approaches unknown charms.
