The Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium's Summer Night Aquarium

  • The Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium's Summer Night Aquarium

Throughout the summer vacation period from the third week of July to August, the Summer Night Aquarium is held.
During this period, business hours are lengthened, allowing you to enjoy yourself until 8:00 PM. We recommend watching the Night Performance with dolphins flying into the night sky from the main pool of the North Building, as well as the romantic atmosphere of the South Building with its lights brought down as low as possible. Also, save with the admission fee being 20% lower after 5:00 PM. Have a ball at this night aquarium, where you can see the extraordinary.

◆Dolphin Night Performance

Experience a magical night dolphin performance from the romantically lit stands.

Place: Stadium on the 3rd floor of the North Building

◆Orca Training

The orca will demonstrate powerful jumps and come up to the shallow part of the pool. Called the king of the seas, experience the impressive orca from close range.

Place: Stadium on the 3rd floor of the North Building

Tornado of Sardines

◆Tornado of Sardines

The summer tornado illuminates the tank using six colors to present a fantastic “World of Rainbows.” Enjoy a tornado of 35,000 sardines interwoven with rainbow colors.

In the "A Journey to the Antarctic" theme, the South Building introduces the creatures and their natural environments in five areas of the sea in relation to the Antarctic survey ship Fuji's course to Antarctica from Japan. In the North Building the theme is "A journey spanning 3.5 billion years: Animals that have returned to the seas", displaying the bottlenose dolphins, beluga whales, and other such creatures kept at the aquarium.
The largest main pool in all of Japan, with stands seating approximately 3,000 people, offers performances to deliver an even deeper understanding of the lives and behavior of sea life.
