Special exhibition “Hosoneyama Koyama Garden”, the back seat of the Chiyokura family
[Held from 9/11 (Thu) to 10/18 (Sat)!]
Mount Hosone, which stretches out at the southeast end of the former Narumi village,
It is a villa area owned by the Chiyokura family since the beginning of the Edo period.
It has been maintained by the head of the family for generations and was famous as a famous garden “Oyama Garden” with “14 views.”
Cultural figures such as the lord of the Owari Domain, Matsuo Basho, the chief priest of Shokoku-ji Temple, the Confucian scholar Tokubai, and Naito Toho, a feudal lord of the Owari Domain and painter, also visited.
It was enjoyed throughout the four seasons, but it was almost destroyed by the 1959 Isewan Typhoon,
It is now open to the public as “Hosoneyama Oasis Forest.”
I will introduce what Mount Hosone looked like in the past.
