Best Viewing Time: The middle of February-middle of March
Within the castle grounds, plum trees bloom mainly in the Nishi-no-maru Area and the Ni-no-maru Area plum groves. You can see various kinds of plum blossoms and enjoy a different atmosphere in each area.


Opening Hours: 9:00 AM-4:30 PM (Admission to the Honmaru Area until 4:00 PM)

Best Viewing Time: The end of February-middle of March
Known as one of the nation's most famous places for weeping plum trees. During the blooming period, food trucks and open-air markets make an appearance.

Weeping Plum Tree Festival

*During the time for weeping plum trees, parking is paid.
Togokusan Fruits Park
Best Viewing Time: The beginning of February-middle of March
Many different kinds of plum trees such as flowering, fruit-bearing, and weeping plum trees are cultivated in the spacious plum garden and around the park. Experience harvesting plums on Saturdays and Sundays from late May to June.

Cost: Free admission (World Tropical Fruit Greenhouse 300 yen for adults, free for junior high school students and younger)

Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens
Best Viewing Time: The middle of February-middle of March
Around 200 plum trees grow within the gardens. In particular, you can see lots of plum blossoms in the botanical gardens' plum groves, Plum Hill and Plum Valley.

Odaka Ryokuchi Park
Best Viewing Time: The end of February-middle of March
A variety of plum blossoms bloom within the park's Japanese-style garden. The view from the direction of the pond of white, red, and pink plum blossoms all mixed together is also recommended.

Arako Park
Best Viewing Time: The end of February-middle of March
This city park is located between Takabata Station on the Higashiyama Line and Arako Station on the Aonami Line. It's popular with the locals as a hidden plum tree spot.

Sori Pond / Chita City
Best Viewing Time: The middle of February-middle of March
In the area around Sori Pond is the largest plum grove in Aichi Prefecture with approximately 6,000 plum trees producing beautiful flowers. A variety developed in the Sori district, Sori Plum is designated as a Natural Monument of Chita City.

Best Viewing Time: The middle of February-beginning of March
At one of the largest plum groves in the Higashi-Mikawa region you can enjoy early, mid-, and late blooming plum blossoms. During the spring festival and plum blossom period, tea stalls will appear, and you can try sweets and more.
