Nagoya's Autumn Leaves Special Collection





Let us introduce spots in Nagoya known for their autumn leaves. Establishments open at night as well as illuminations and other events are held. Take in the fall season as you admire its leaves in shades of yellow and red.

Nagoya City

Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens (Closed: Mondays)

Best viewing time: The middle of November-beginning of December
500 trees such as Japanese maples and Acer pycnanthum
・Leaf viewing event: 11/15-12/1/2019
・Illumination: 11/15-11/17, 11/24, 11/30, and 12/1/2019 (*Only botanical garden open until 8:30 PM)
Admission fee: 500 yen for high school students and above and free for junior high school students and younger
Transportation: Hoshigaoka Station and Higashiyama Koen Station on the Higashiyama subway line

Tokugawaen (Closed: Mondays)

Best viewing time: The middle of November-beginning of December
About 300 trees such as Japanese maples
・Illumination: Sundown-8:30 PM on 11/29-12/1, 12/6-12/8/2019
*Admission until 8:00 PM
Admission fee: 300 yen for high school/university students and adults, free for junior high school students and younger
Transportation: Just next to Me~guru Nagoya Sightseeing Route Bus "Tokugawaen" Bus Stop
10-minute walk from the south exit of JR Ozone Station

Shirotori Garden (Closed: Mondays)

Best viewing time: The end of November-beginning of December
About 1,500 trees such as Japanese maples and Enkianthus perulatus
・Maple Viewing Event and Tea Ceremony: 11/16, 11/17, and 11/24/2019
・Illumination: 11/16-12/8/2019
Admission fee: 300 yen for adults and free for junior high school students and younger
Transportation: 10-minute walk from Exit 4 of Jingu Nishi Station on the Meijo subway line

Yagotosan Koshoji Temple

Best viewing time: The middle of November-beginning of December
100 trees such as Japanese maples
Admission fee: Free
・The view from Chikusui-tei teahouse is recommended (500-yen viewing fee, 10:00 AM-4:00 PM)
Transportation: 3-minute walk from Exit 1 of Yagoto Station on the Meijo subway line

Meijo Park

Best viewing time: The middle of November-end of November
Chinese tallow trees, gingko trees, Japanese zelkovas, etc.
Admission fee: Free admission
Transportation: 2-minute walk from Exit 2 of Meijo Koen Station on the Meijo subway line

Seto City
