Northern Districts: Nagoya Castle, Meijo Park, Ozone, Shidami areas
Nagoya City’s northern districts features the symbol of the city, the magnificent Nagoya Castle and its impressive palace. Nearby, away from the hustle and bustle of the city center is Meijo Park Tonarino and Meijo Park Flower Plaza, an area much enjoyed by the citizens, runners, joggers and walkers. The Ozone area is home to the huge Nagoya Dome, home stadium of the Chunichi Dragons baseball team and a popular concert venue. A little further out, the Shidami Tumulus Museum in historical Moriyama Ward is an out-door museum showcasing the areas’ many ancient tomb mounds.
