Special exhibition “Happy New Year”
[Held from 11/20 (Thu) to 2026/1/18 (Sun) 10:00-16:30!]
Diaries written by family heads from generation to generation (“Chiyokura Family Diary”) have been handed down to the Chiyokura family for about 240 years, conveying the lifestyle of large stores.
In this exhibition, in addition to articles about the year-end and New Year holidays that look like “The Chiyokura Family Diary,” there are hanging scrolls etc. that seem to have created a place to celebrate the New Year,
Here's a look at New Year's which is now far away.
Also, this time, we will be exhibiting a special New Year's letter addressed by Basho Matsuo to the second generation.
