Arimatsu Tenmansha Autumn Festival (Arimatsu Float Festival)

The “Arimatsu Tenmansha Autumn Festival” is a float festival that has been nurtured in the town of Aki.
Three floats (Hotei, Karako, Empress Jingu) designated as cultural properties of Nagoya City will parade the Arimatsu Tokaido.
Highlights include karakuri dedication and “wheel kiri (shagiri),” a technique for carrying floats over 5 tons.
At the night festival, each of the 3 floats is lit with lanterns and parades gracefully along the Arimatsu Tokaido.
